We recommend using the following rates of application:

Top-dressing: 50-100 lb of Z-Olite per 1000 square feet in sod/grass applications.
After Aerification/Plugging: 75-150 lb of Z-Olite per 1000 square feet in sod/grass applications.
Flower Beds: 15-20% by volume.
Row Crops: 2-10 ton/acre depending on soil type.
Golf Putting Greens/Tees: Replace 10-20% of sand with equal volume Z-Olite.

Soil type top-dressing example:
Mostly sand and rock => Apply 100 lb per 1000 sq.ft.
Mostly clay => Apply 75 lb per 1000 sq.ft.
Mostly loam => Apply 50 lb per 1000 sq.ft.

For large areas 1.1 ton/acre is approx. 50 lb./1000 sq. ft.
We recommend using 1.125 tons per acre to get the minimum application.

Till Z-Olite into top 2-6 inches of soil. Deeper tilling puts the Z-Olite out of range of roots, unless an application follows tilling for 3-4 applications.
